Assignment Calculator

This is a pretty cool tool for students at any level. It will help you with a project assignment by helping you manage your time as well as suggesting resources available at the RIT Library for you to use. It's called the Assignment Calculator. An earlier version was developed at the University of Minnesota, and we've improved and customized it. Try it!...

The Strategic Plan

There's lots of activity going on at the RIT Libraries. We've undertaken the development of a 5-year strategic plan to complement the one currently being implemented by the institute as a whole. Every member of the staff is involved, and with the deadline of 10/29 for each team's recommendations fast approaching, we're in high gear. The Library's management team will then select from the list of recommendations generated and present these ideas to the RIT community for input. Check back in early November to see how you can do that....

Connect NY!

Check out Connect NY! It's a consortium of schools in New York state that have combined their library catalogs. Better than InterLibrary Loan, it's a true union catalog that contains over 3 million items. Union College and Siena College have recently joined original members Colgate, RIT, RPI, St. Lawrence and Vassar. More college are looking to join. Connect NY is integrated into the RIT online catalog. Try it! I act as the technical coordinator for ConnectNY, so contact me if you have any questions. There's also a faq on the Connect NY Website....
