Illustration in Joannes Arnoldus Bergellanus, De chalcographiae inventione poema ecomiasticum. (Mainz: Franz Benem, 1541)

This woodcut illustration of a printing office includes several interesting features. Note the one-sided (for effect) compositor's case showing twenty-three characters. The j, u and w are not present since these characters were not then in common use.
