Thomas Allen, A Chain of Scripture Chronology. (London, 1659)It was not uncommon for books of the 17th century to have two title pages, one typographic, the other engraved. Types used in England during this period were often poorly cast and poorly aligned. Nor was the composition particularly skillful-note the slovenly made-up double rule border.
