Goudy 150 Lectures

The exhibition, "Frederic W. Goudy: 150 Years of Typographic Influence," will open at the Cary Collection on March 12, 2015. Steve Matteson, RIT alumnus and Creative Type Director at Monotype, will deliver a talk about "Discovering the Goudy Legacy, " at 5 p.m. that evening.

Design historian Paul Shaw, will also speak at the Cary on May 7 from 5 to 6 p.m. to commemorate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the famed type designer's birth. His talk is entitled "In Defense of Fred Goudy."

The Goudy 150 celebrations are continuing this Spring at the Cary which is one of the country's strongest repositories on Goudy's work.
