Buildings, roads, and residences on campus are named to honor individuals associated with the history of the Institute. This website provides an introduction to these people and their many contributions.
The What's In A Name? website was designed using the collections of the RIT Archives, the primary source for the study of the history and development of the Institute.
Here you will find information on academic buildings, residence halls as well as the history of the names of individual spaces such as auditoriums, galleries and atrium and the roadways that connect each section of the RIT campus.
