Located on the first and second floors of The Wallace Library are a group of exhibits that are part of the continuing “The Stories they Tell” series that plumbs the archives for personal stories that bring the collections alive in new ways. For this newest rendition, RIT Archive Collections partnered with the Cultural Informatics class in RIT's Museum Studies Department. Students curated the exhibits with objects from the collections as well as made them available digitally. Associate Archivist Jody Sidlauskas worked with the students as they gathered their materials for the exhibit, conducted research and wrote labels. With the help of Rebekah Walker, Digital Humanities & Social Sciences Librarian who guided the student through the process of digitizing their material and uploading it into the Wallace Library Omeka online exhibit space, they were able to re-create their exhibit digitally for access by a broader audience.
