How I Can Assist You

As the Humanities, Behavioral and Social Sciences Librarian at RIT Library, I provide the following services:

  • Library Instruction: I am available to provide classes or workshops on the resources available at Wallace or through Wallace's access systems to the faculty, staff and students of RIT researching topics or learning systems useful in the humanities, behavioral and social sciences. I cover both print and electronic resources. I can also assist with the development of library assignments.

  • Research Assistance: I'm available to RIT students and faculty for impromptu or scheduled tutorials or research assistance. A copy of my schedule is posted next to my office door. Click here to schedule a meeting with me to discuss your research project.

  • Guides: I've developed a series of bibliographies and guides to help library users do general research and find information in the behavioral sciences , the social sciences and the humanities. Click here to request new guides tailored to specific class assignments, topical bibliographies, or instructions for the use of specific research tools.

  • Collection Development: I select all books, periodicals, annuals, and other print and electronic resources for the humanities, behavioral and social sciences collections. Lists of recent additions to the collection for communication, criminal justice and law, history and political science, language and literature , music, theater and dance, philosophy and religion, psychology and school psychology, sociology, anthropology and social work, and science, technology and society are posted.

    My Schedule

My normal work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. I spend several hours each week at the library's Reference Desk (first floor of the library). During the school year I also work at the Reference Desk some evenings and Saturdays.

A weekly schedule showing times I'll be out of my office for meetings, classes, and other activities is posted outside my office door.
