Harper's Bazaar

Harper's Bazaar is an American fashion magazine which was founded in 1867 and remains in publication. Willaim Randolph Hearst purchased Harper's in 1913 and revitalized it's look through use of photography.

Important years for the magazine were 1933-1958, when Carmel Snow was editor, and 1934-1958, when Alexey Brodovitch was art director. During these years Harper's Bazaar redefined editorial design with white space, clean typography, flow text and images and powerful cropping and juxtapositioning.
