Junior Bazaar

Junior Bazaar (1945-1948) was a take-off of Harper's Bazaar, both publ;ished by Hearst, which targeted an audience of younger women concerned with fashion and beauty.

Alexey Brodovitch was art director of both Harper's Bazaar and Junior Bazaar and sought to reach the younger audience through a bold use of color, photography and graphics. Lillian Bassman provided the magazine with it's unique style of photography.
