Opportunities for SupportGroup Study Rooms
Student study groups value quiet isolated spaces to help them avoid distraction in the library. Our surveys also indicate students are increasingly assigned to work in teams to complete projects and assignments. Collaborative meeting spaces where the lively generation of ideas can occur without disturbing others are increasingly in demand. We have 15 group rooms available for student use through our online room reservation system, but they contain little more than a table and some chairs. Your support will assist the Library to purchase ergonomic furnishings and upgrade the lighting in these rooms.
Additionally, surveys have indicated a strong need for the campus library to provide several specialized equipment rooms that can be reserved for presentation practice, multimedia/gaming development and testing and for the use of adaptive technologies. Naming opportunities are available to memorialize support that renovates group study rooms and provides furnishing, lighting and equipment to meet the identified needs.
