UPDATE (2017): Instructors are encouraged to contact Roman Koshykar (firstname.lastname@example.org) if they need assistance setting up links to Lynda from myCourses. Any questions regarding technical support or access issues with Lynda should be sent to Linette Koren (email@example.com).
The Wallace Center, in collaboration with CIAS, are happy to announce that a lynda.com is now available campus wide to all current students, faculty, and staff. This incredibly popular resource has been restricted for the past two years; this new agreement will greatly expand access to popular instructional tutorials for both personal and classroom use.
What Is Lynda.com?
From their website: "lynda.com is a leading online learning company that helps anyone learn software, technology, creative, and business skills to achieve personal and professional goals. The lynda.com video library consists of engaging, top quality courses taught by recognized industry experts..."
What Is Changing?
The Wallace Center will now have a lyndaCampus subscription, which allows access for unlimited simultaneous RIT users from anywhere in the world, 24/7. Any instructors or departments with group subscriptions should contact Adam Traub for information on cancelling that to take advantage of this site-wide license. Individuals with personal subscriptions can now also access via the site-wide license, eliminating the need to pay for individual access.
How Will I Access Lynda.com?
Lynda.com will be accessible through a special link from the Libraries' website. Instructors are encouraged to contact Adam Traub if they need assistance setting up links to Lynda from myCourses. To access Lynda.com now, click here.
Who Will Have Access?
Any current student, faculty, or staff member will have access to lynda.com.
The Wallace Center would like to thank all members of the RIT Community who have voiced their support, helping us gain access to this incredible resource.
