Urgent repair work is underway in the Wallace Center entrance lobby area. As work progresses, the following impacts and closures are anticipated:
Tuesday August 20 until Monday August 26, 2013 - The A-level circulation adjacent to Room A-400 will be closed. Adjacent rooms may be entered either from the north or south but through circulation will be closed during this period.
Monday August 26 through Friday September 27, 2013 - A-level circulation will be restored on the east side of Room A-400 but closed on the west side of room A-400. Through circulation will be available on the east side of Room A-400.
Classes scheduled for Room A-400 will not be held from Monday August 26 through Friday September 6, 2013. Classes in A-400 will resume Monday, September 9, 2013.
Mail Level impacts:
A temporary construction barrier will be erected in the main level lobby which closes the western pair of doors into Wallace Library so that work may take place in the protected area. The eastern pair of doors will remain open for entry and exit from the library. Java Wally's will remain accessible. The main stairway from the A-level will remain open. We anticipate that the lobby will re-open to normal circulcation patterns by Monday September 30, 2013.
Concrete removal and repairs from approximately Wednesday August 21 until Friday September 6 may cause disruptive noise levels. We apologize for the inconvenience.
