Circulating Items
Regular circulating books are renewable and you are not fined for use of these items unless the items become grossly overdue. Once a book reaches 28 days overdue and is not returned to us that item will be considered billed for replacement. The fees for replacement are:
- The cost of the book
- An additional $10 billing fee to cover our recovery and/or replacement efforts
Once the items are returned to us the cost of the items will be waived but patrons are still responsible for the $10 billing fee per item.
Recalled Items
Items that have been recalled for use will begin accruing fines of $1 per day once the recall due date has passed. Please note that if a book becomes billed for replacement that cost will be added to the already accrued recall fines. For graduate students, staff and faculty members with extended due dates, your items may be recalled for use by another patron before the due date. If the item is recalled within the first three weeks of use, you will receive a notice to return the item by the three week due date. If the item is recalled for use after the three week due date has paased, you will receive a notice notifying you that you have ten days to return the item.
