Noodlebib Directions

Go to the Wally homepage via http://library.rit.edu

Notice the 3rd column, "Research Assistance"

Click on the 5th link where it says Noodlebib - Citation Builder or go to http://wally.rit.edu/electronic/noodletools/noodletools.html

Click on "connect" to Noodlebib

Before you can use this, you need to create an account. Click on "New user? Create a new folder"

Register ONCE and use it as long as you are here at RIT for all of your courses-Suggestion-use your RIT DCE email username and password so it's easy to remember

Click on Noodlebib 6

Click on Start a new list for the paper you are doing. (you will click start a new list for each new paper you do).

Check off Advanced MLA or APA and describe your paper. Ex: Deaf Artists

Click on start adding citations

You will see a screen where you can choose what to cite: journal, magazine, newspaper, website, etc. Make your selection.

It is helpful to have the actual article, website or info in front of you either in another window or in print. Fill in the fields with the info.

When done, click on generate citation.

Your citation appears correctly formatted.

When done with all of your citations and ready to print out your bibliography, click on "open in word".

You will see a bibliography or works cited page with your citations arranged alphabetically.

You can print this out or email it to yourself.
