Located on the first floor of The Wallace Center are a group of exhibits that are part of the continuing “The Stories they Tell” series that plumbs the archives for personal stories that bring the collections alive in new ways. For this newest rendition, RIT Archive Collections partnered with the Cultural Informatics class in RIT's Museum Studies Department. Students produced the exhibits with objects from the collections as well as made them available digitally in RIT History Exhibits section of the department website. Associate Archivist Jody Sidlauskas worked with the students as they gathered their materials for the exhibit, conducted research and wrote labels. She also taught them how to add their content to the website using Drupal, a valuable lesson in making collections accessible to greater numbers.
