Christopher Stinehour is the son of Roderick Stinehour, founder of the well-known Stinehour Press in Lunenberg, Vermont. It was once among the finest commercial fine printing establishments in the United States. Chris left the family company to settle in Berkeley, where he founded a letter-cutting and design studio. This stone was commissioned by the Cary Collection. Its "v" carved letters are in the Roman inscriptional style in Vermont Red Slate, with a carved outer molding.
