Alexey Brodovitch: Life & Livelihood opens
Influential 20th century art director and graphic designer Alexey Brodovitch (1898-1971) is the subject of the Cary Collection's Spring exhibition. His iconic work in shaping fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar carries the bulk of the show, with photographic and illustrative work by Brodovitch's creative team, including A.M. Cassandre, Richard Avedon, Lillian Bassman, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, and Andy Warhol. Catch a glimpse into Brodovitch's private side through a collection of portaits created by photographers David Attie, Arnold Newman, Richard Avedon, and Lida Moser. These works are all part of the Alexey Brodovitch collection in the RIT Graphic Design Archives. Alexey Brodovitch: Life & Livelihood is on view through May 2013.
