Exhibition Fall Semester
On October 9, 1969, RIT faculty and staff gathered at the ground floor of the School of Printing for a preview showing of the newly established Cary Graphic Arts Collection. The founding collection of this new library devoted to art of printing and its related fields was the personal library of New York businessman Melbert B. Cary Jr. The Founding Collection & Beyond marks the 50th anniversary of the Cary Collection by spotlighting Melbert Cary’s founding library, while reflecting on how our collections have grown over five decades.
Open House & Reception Wednesday, October 9, 2019 4–7:00 p.m.
Help us celebrate our 50th anniversary by viewing our exhibition and printing a commemorative broadside on William Morris’ Albion printing press.
