Which database should I use? Part 2

Here are some tips:

  • General databases can be useful at the beginning of the research process because they help you narrow a topic. They are also useful for multi-disciplinary topics and topics that don't fit a specific subject.
  • There are descriptions for each of the databases.  On the next page you can visit the database portal. Select a subject area. After each database name you will see an icon of a blue dot with an "i" like this:  Icon of a blue dot with an "i" Click the icon for a description of the database.
  • Remember, you can always contact your college librarian for advice when you are uncertain which database to use for your assignment.
