Streaming Videos

RIT Libraries provides access to thousands of streaming videos through several  major providers:

Please check for desired titles in the subscription sources below or contact your librarian for assistance.  Media requests for titles not currently included in our collections can be submitted via the Media Request form. A librarian will contact you with an update within 2-3 business days of your request. Please be advised that the processing time to activate a title may exceed 5-10 business days.

Please note: All streaming videos in RIT Libraries’ media collection are purchased or licensed content, limited to current authorized RIT students, faculty, and staff. 

All streamed videos in collections licensed by RIT Libraries can be used in MyCourses syllabi, documents, and other webpages.

RIT Libraries also provides faculty access to DVDs for classroom use only.  You can search the catalog to locate a title.  Please contact to request a DVD for checkout. 


RIT Faculty:  Please use these forms for your media requests.  

  • The Library will attempt to purchase a legal streaming copy if available.
  • The form allows for ten items to be processed for a single course.
  • You may submit additional forms if needed for the same class.

Should there be any complexities with your request that might delay completion, you will be contacted by your college librarian.
