RIT Libraries supports the production of digital projects within the RIT community. We work alongside faculty and students, providing advice and assistance from initial planning to publication and preservation. We also develop our own projects to showcase library materials.
Classroom Instruction:
We provide classroom instruction in areas related to digital scholarship. We would love to work with you and your classes to develop a digital project that will engage your students and the community. Set up a consultation with us to discuss!
Recent and Ongoing Projects:
- Online exhibits: Explore curated exhibits of RIT materials in Omeka, an online exhibition platform
- Townsend & Sons Ledgers
- This collection of 19th Century print house ledgers held by the Cary Collection is a rich resource for research in the social history of accounting and contemporary labor practices. Led by Professor Lisa Hermsen and working with students in the liberal arts, the project has benefitted from the input and advice of our Librarians and Digitization Lab.
- New York Heritage: Browse images of RIT materials in New York Heritage, a central archival hub for the state of New York
- NYS Historic Newspapers: Browse images of the RIT Reporter in New York State Historic Newspapers
Consultations:
Set up a one-on-one consultation to discuss any idea or question related to a digital project. We provide guidance on any step in a project's lifecycle, from initial planning to dissemination and preservation.
