As library liaison, Boateng meets with COS/CHST deans and faculty to address library resources needed for degree programs, faculty research and scholarship. She conducts information research and instruction classes for faculty, undergraduate and graduate students.
Before coming to RIT, her career evolved in R&D from Development Laboratory Technician, Information Specialist, Library Manager at General Electric, Corning Inc., Bausch & Lomb, to Library Consultant, IT Business Services Analyst at Xerox, GCI-USPTO, EDS- INS/Xerox.
Boateng holds the following degrees: Ed.D. Executive Leadership, MLS Information Studies, MS General Education, and BS Medical Technology, Biochemistry/Secondary Education. Her certifications include RIT Saunders College of Business Management Information Systems Technology, Business Systems Analysis, and Website and Intranet Development certificate. She is proficient in Atlas. ti (qualitative data analysis software).
At RIT she is a member of RIT Gray Matter, RIT Science and Mathematics Education Research Collaborative (SMERC), Isaac L. Jordan Sr. Pluralism Awards committee, and is a mentor at the RIT Leadership Institute and Community Service Center. She was awarded the Student Affairs Awards 2014 Cross-Departmental Collaborative Team Recognition: Gray Matter Planning Team
